F is for Fuel
Today saw the occasion of the 2012 Nike Olympic Innovation Summit in London.
1ST: They launched an assortment of superhero inspired athletics kits that will be worn by members of Nike sponsored national teams at the London Olympics.
2ND: They gave a demonstration of the new 21st century pedometer that they’re calling the ‘Fuel Band’. Phrases like “Sensors are smaller. Sensors are smarter. Sensors are cheaper” and “We can make the invisible visible” we used to explicate the capabilities of the Fuel Band and its related metric, ‘Fuel Points’.
3RD: They offered summit attendees the opportunity to try out the new Nike Hyperdunk+ shoes, the soles of which contain five chips that gather data about your performance, jump height, sprint speed and of course… Fuel Points. They make real life basketball a lot like playing NBA Street on a purple Nintendo® GameCube.
Pictured above is the fun I had in the fancy new fuel shoes. Pictured below is some cheap imitator doing his thing.

T is for Trill
When King Kanye rides into town everyone knows it. With a sashaying Queen Kardashian, a couple of lip-locked pop princesses and the #BeenTrill creative court bringing Big Apple bass and snapbacks to Mayfair, Team Yeezy have had the Big Smoke aflame.
Last weekend, the members of Kanye’s DONDA crew responsible for the Been Trill nights that have been making waves in PARIS and NYC threw a party in LDN’s Le Baron and i-D online hopped along to document the debauchery…
